Q & A: Custom Stamped Tags

Custom Mini Bookmark-style Stamped Tags

With wedding season just around the corner, I've received some questions about the above listing for custom hand-stamped kraft mini tags.  Here's a breakdown of the Q&A:

- Can you print on these tags?
I hand stamp each individual letter, so I cannot print on these tags.  No printers are used in my stamped shop items.

- Can I have longer words stamped?
Longer words mean that the tag will be longer (see image above for a visual).

- Why can't I purchase these tags at a bulk price?
The cost reflects the unique handmade qualities of my work.  I cut the cardstock and stamp each letter by hand, as well as use archival permanent ink, hole punch by hand, and add the tassel manually.  All cardstock in shop is acid-free and lignin-free--this particular cardstock is a thicker 100lb. weight.  Basically, you pay for quality and my meticulous nature.  As always, shortcuts are never taken in my work.

Shop for Fall

Here are some of my own favorite fall-inspired creations available for purchase in my shop, some old and some new.  As you can tell by my Instagram feed, I have been looking forward to the next season since July (embarrassingly enough), so these creations are my ode to autumn leaves, crisp weather, and rainy days...

Custom Fall Wedding Favor Hang Tags

I designed the above raven fall wedding tags as an alternative to the harvest-style designs currently on the market.  My simple raven crow tags are little dark and moody, but unique and easily incorporated into wedding favors or decor.  This same designs, sans initials, can be purchased here.

A favorite jewelry design, the above necklace includes a linear bar made of AA-quality, eye-clean tourmaline stones in gold and brown hues.  Dainty and sweet, the stones provide a touch of festive sparkle at the neckline.

Raven Crow Book Page Hang Tags

I love creating products using upcycled book pages, and these raven crow book page tags are no exception.  Delicate and just one book page thin, these versatile tags can be incorporated into Halloween party decor or as tags for favors--the spooky, bookish aesthetic is imaginatively reminiscent of bygone days.  Wrap the twine around place setting napkins for a lovely finishing touch: I left space at the bottom for you to write the guest's name (use a bold marker for visibility).

Cascade Collection: Confetti Orange and Yellow Pendant

This "confetti" pendant design was not made with autumn in mind, but the vibrant colors in the piece evoke the rustic beauty of East Coast leaves in fall.  An eye-catching pendant made with careful attention to detail, I attached each stone to a short vertical chain and included four types of gemstones for a gorgeous, abstract visual.

Maple Leaf Fall Punch-Out Tags

Country chic-meets-botanical, the above small maple leaf punch-out tags can be utilized year-round for all your gift wrap and wedding decor needs.  Initially, I designed them to be used as gift tags, but they can also function as pretty wedding name cards--or even as favor or napkin tags.

New in Shop: Pale Pink Custom Wedding Cardstock

A few weeks ago, I took a fairly large creative leap and ordered pale petal-pink cardstock for my shop's hand-stamped paper goods.  I've always gravitated to more neutral colors, so although this light pink hue is brighter than my typical color palette, the lighter shade seems to fit into my shop aesthetic pretty well.  This sweet, feminine color, which I call "pale petal pink," can also be described as "pale carnation pink" or even "light blush," making it a perfect touch for spring weddings, bridal showers, and engagement parties.  It's girly without being over the top.

My new designs with this cardstock showcase a hand-stamped floral flourish symbol and/or typewriter font (stamped letter by letter), giving it a sweet English garden-teatime aesthetic, which is both pretty and quaint.  Below is a visual comparison of my signature sage-green cardstock with this new pale petal-pink one:

The petal-pink hue, as you can likely see, is difficult to capture on camera.  Also, since this cardstock is light in color, stray stamp markings are more noticeable than on my other paper goods for sale (click on the image above for a visual).  Unlike printed items, my stamping is done entirely by hand and letter-by-letter using stamps and archival ink, which allows for slight handmade variances per tag, as well as optimal uniqueness that cannot be replicated by using a printer.

I will be adding more paper goods in this sweet hue to my shop soon--

Woodland Wedding: Ring Bearer Oak Slice

My latest creation, this rustic ring bearer oak slice is a design that I've been playing with in my head for much of the year.  This past week, I finally sat down and created a sample of this romantic, personalized woodland piece.  The result was even more lovely than I had imagined.

First names and wedding date, a favorite 12-words-or-less phrase, marriage titles (i.e.: Mr. and Mrs.; bride & groom), or even simply just the date can be hand stamped letter-by-letter on a slice.  I use archival, permanent black ink and my diminutive typewriter font stamps for these.  If the design looks somewhat familiar, it is because my wooden ornaments are also made from oak slices.  Their softly oval shape, slight golden undertone, and romantic, rustic appeal makes my customized oak slices perfect for weddings.  Oak is actually my favorite stamping surface to work with.  Wedding ring is not included.

This ring bearer slice doubles as a wedding memento for the newly wedded couple.  Additional twine is offered, so you can turn it into an ornament or plaque post-wedding.  Wonderful to display upright or to hang on your holiday tree, the design is effortlessly versatile as a ring bearer slice and as sweet home decor--with a uniquely rustic twist!
