Etsy Front Page
So excited to have been featured in Etsy's front page Treasury yesterday! I was actually so used to not being on the front page (this is only the third time it's happened) that when I logged in, I was confused as to why my item was there. A computer glitch? An overlooked error? Nope.
In celebration of this little event, I'm offering 30% off all finished jewelry in my Etsy shop (like the gorgeous gem featured on the front page)--offer excludes donation and destash jewelry. No coupon code is needed, since the discount will be applied via PayPal after purchase. Hurry, for this impromptu sale ends soon!
Thanks all, for your support...

The Countdown Begins
An EmeraldCut holiday item was featured in a festive, earthy-rustic Treasury by GepArtJewellery shown above. I realize that the EC listing's image is broken in the picture, for which I blame my antiquated (it's also a workhorse, so I love it) computer in technological relation to Etsy, but found the entire collection--which brims with subtle holiday cheer--too charming and unique to not include in this blog.
If you're interested, the non-broken visual can be seen here.

Etsy Front Page
Seriously, did an EmeraldCut item really end up on Etsy's front page via a Treasury? It did, interestingly enough, it did. Unfortunately, I missed it, but I found the line-up on craft cult. I've never had so many shop views as that day, except for a few times last year when Etsy was overrun by bots (a type of computer spam that I refer to as "faux people") that would favorite shop items and view shop listings hundreds of times per day--or so was my bot experience. The front-page Treasury inclusion was less extreme, but still shocking in terms of volume.
I can't help it, although I'm trying to stay on the bright side of things here--
Call me a little fickle about this whole front page business, but publicity is publicity, even if it does not generate sales, right? Still, I'm beyond grateful...

Treasury: Red and White
Came across the above Treasury this week, and thought it was so unique and timely--and not to mention, filled with such glorious vintage and vintage-inspired designs.

Blue-Gray Tones
The wind blowing through a translucent gray sky is a common scene around here, but it's still one of my favorites. As an introverted Scorpio, I am deeply moved by my outdoor surroundings; it's a coveted past-time to be able to sit outdoors and quietly observe slight tilts in light and wind with a camera in hand and a full heart. Perhaps I was a Transcendentalist in a prior life--that or a hippie, but I (humbly) prefer the former rather than the latter.

Stick with Love
An intriguing, thoughtfully evocative Treasury by Patricia of Avery Beth Designs, this collection expresses the multifarious nature of love from the observably reverential, to the dutifully familial, to the subtly romantic. Meticulously curated and complex, this Treasury is, in truth, the only flash mob that I am (and probably ever will be!) a willing participant in--albeit through an EmeraldCut listing. It is the perfect, refreshing introduction to this month, minus the overly saccharine and gushy romanticism that tends to overrun poor old February. Thanks, Patricia, for the inclusion!

Dream in Green
Feeling quiet, a subtle warmth radiates from my cocoon-like abode on this chilly end-of-autumn day. The cocoon is a semi-permeable barrier from the outside world with just enough space and textured translucency to gently filter the sunshine in.
A contemplative Etsy Treasury curated by Blushie, titled "Dream in Green," reminds me of the natural world's beauty, a calming retreat to nature that helps to put everything in perspective as we laugh and cry, and still remain hopeful, which is, I think, the ultimate collective strength and beauty of humankind.
12/23/12:
Happy holidays, as I take a brief blogging break.

November Hues
Is it already the end of the year? Where has the time gone? Here is a Treasury, A GOOD JUNKIN JAUNT!, by yoyosbijouterie, whose ubiquitous, earthy colors remind me of the sparse beauty of a year's end. It's also quite a unique collection of re-purposed items, including one of mine.
Happy Sunday (and one hour back)!

Sierra Nevada Treasury
This Etsy Treasury is an eloquent homage to all of you who will be taking a mountain vacation (or two) this summer. Whether it be a strenuous hike in the woods, a lingering dip in a lake, or merely lounging in a quaint cottage, the possibilities are endless when such surroundings are warmly embraced. Best of all, in my humble opinion, is no cellphone or Internet connection--and hopefully, no crowds or extremes in weather.
My Autumn Leaf on Vintage Book Page print was featured in this nature-inspired, rustic collection--thank you, ChatteJolie, for the honor. I will undoubtedly come back to this Treasury when in need of clarity and inspiration. Happy summer!

Dark Horses Treasury
I am endlessly fascinated and in awe over the talent found on Etsy.* This sentiment extends to Treasury making, too (see below). Thanks for including me this moody, evocative collection, AlottaPatina. I could stare at this Treasury all day.
*Sure, I know that there are also some "bad eggs" on Etsy, but all in all, I've found some wonderful shops with owners who are craftspeople in every sense of the word.

Peridot
Peridot is my favorite stone, so to be included in this peridot-themed Treasury was a lovely surprise, indeed. There's just something about peridot that catches my eye. Perhaps, it's the brightest color--green, that is--in my rusty color palette, excluding the creams and the neutrals. Or maybe it's that the stone itself holds a dear, personal significance for me. Nostalgia, right? Enjoy.
