Book Riot Feature

via Book Riot

As I was perusing my Etsy Stats yesterday, I noticed that my Literary Tall, Dark, and Brooding Card had received 20+ clicks.  Weird, I thought, because it was unusually high traffic for one little hand-stamped card.  Then I saw bookriot.com under my traffic sources.  A-ha! I said.  Visiting their site, I scrolled down the homepage and saw my simple card as an article's main image (see above).  What a nice surprise!

Clicking on the link, curiously titled "Book Fetish: Romance Edition," my interest was piqued.  Scrolling down the page, I find it.  There among other tongue-in-cheek book-inspired goods is my card, smack dab in the middle of it all:

This is an exciting event because it's the first time my work has been an article's main image.  It's also my second Book Riot feature--nearly two years ago, my origami hearts were included in a BR Valentine's Day article, which I documented here.  Thank you, Book Riot!

February Giveaway: Part 2

You really didn't think that this sweet piece was the only February giveaway item, did you?  Neither did I!  It took me a awhile to figure out where I'd strike next with a second February giveaway, but a few shipping days before Valentine's Day sounds like the perfect time to me.

This second giveaway consists of a tiny brass pendant with a semi-flashy labradorite dangle handmade by me.  So small, yet so unique, this diminutive pendant is perfect to wear with delicate chains and provides a mere whisper of color across the neckline.  Details on how to win this piece are below.

To win this unique little pendant, after this entry posts:
1. Be my first shop sale (2/10 or later),
OR
2. Be the first person to contact me regarding this blog entry.

Thanks again for all your support--and good luck.

UPDATE: Congrats to Wendy on being the giveaway winner!

My work was featured on the amazing sites Book Riot and Introvert, Dear.
Thank you for the features!

News + Thanks

Rainbow moonstone lovers, rejoice!  I finally ordered some large rainbow moonstone nuggets to create into pendants for my shop.  The last time I had created rainbow moonstone pendants such as these was way back in 2012, which doesn't seem too long ago--but it's been two full years.  Seems almost crazy how quickly time flies, doesn't it?  My shop's (expanding) rainbow moonstone collection can be perused here.  I'm excited to add more as soon as winter gives me adequate lighting for photography.

Continuing on the subject of excitement, I would like to give a huge thanks to the following blogs/websites that have featured an EmeraldCut item in their Valentine's Day gifts list: BOOK RIOT, Eco Manu Faktura, and LekaArt.  I highly recommend that you check them out because each list is so unique and different from the others.  Thank you does not fully convey how I'm feeling right now.

As for what else is new in the EmeraldCut shop, I am always creating and test driving new items (the latter of which includes the "stress test" that I place on each item to test its durability--this sounds worse than it actually is), so please check back often for freshly hatched items and designs.
